Bio – Philippa Romig

 

Philippa took her AMI Children’s House teacher’s diploma at the Maria Montessori Training Organisation (now MMI) in London after completion of a Bachelor’s Degree. She became editor of the Montessori Society UK’s journal, and helped set up and run several Montessori schools in the London area during the next few years.

 

She followed her husband to Switzerland in 1980 and devoted herself to her growing family. She worked for many years at the International School of Geneva before starting a bi-lingual Montessori Children’s House in 1996. This school has expanded to include an Infant’s Community.

 

Philippa is an AMI Montessori teacher’s trainer for the 3 to 6 age group. She has participated in training courses for Montessori teachers and Assistants courses in London, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, China and Tanzania. She has been a national examiner for AMI 3-6 Course exams in France, Switzerland, Prague, London and Geneva.

 

 

She has also been a board member of the Association Montessori (Suisse) romande et italienne, and co-president of the Association Montessori Switzerland.
